Hej from Sweden 🇸🇪
I’m hanging outside Stockholm for the summer, participating in a residency at Emerge Lakefront: a “deliberately developmental community” of innovators, activists, and creatives committed to systemic transformation. i.e a nerdy adult frat house 🤭
I was drawn here because I’ve long resonated with Nordic philosophy, haven’t spent much quality time in Europe in my adult life and liked the idea of weaving my professional network here, and want to participate in more instances of 10,000 wisdom schools arising to meet this dynamic moment. Oh and did I mention the floating sauna? 🥵
So far so good! Happy to share more if you feel curious about checking it out. Residents can stay for anywhere between three months and three years.
It has been almost one year of this current stint of semi-nomadism, or what the kids these days are calling “geo-flexibile” or “poly-locational.” I feel fortunate to have opportunities to live in such beautiful places with inspiring people. While I don’t make much fiat currency in my line of work-that-is-undervalued-but-needs-to-be-done… I feel wealthy in many other types of other capital, including access to nourishing retreat centers (e.g. Hestia) and lively land projects (e.g. Eden) around the globe. And I’d love to share that with you!
As a single adult alive in these times of rampant loneliness and depression, disease and disruption, I find it supportive to live in community, especially where there’s a good balance of having my own space and being in close proximity to others. It can be challenging at times, but working through challenges helps cultivate underdeveloped skills of being, relating, and collaborating that are becoming increasingly important…
☀️ Summer Cultivator: Organizational Development
In our efforts to re-imagine innovation education, School of Wise Innovation has dedicated 2025 to developing ̶a̶c̶c̶e̶l̶e̶r̶a̶t̶o̶r̶ ̶d̶e̶c̶e̶l̶e̶r̶a̶t̶o̶r̶ cultivator programming to support founders and changemakers in living, working, and creating with greater harmony.
We’re taking a stab at year-long entreprenuership program that integrates key themes that are often skipped in the process of bringing visions to life, which often leads to burnout and breakup, failure and unintended consequences…
❄️ Winter Cultivator focused on Inner Development: Regeneration, Realignment, & Embodiment
🌸 Spring Cultivator focused on Collective Wayfinding: Sensing, Sensemaking, Storytelling, & Sangha
☀️ Summer Cultivator is focused on Organizational Development: Being, Seeing, Working & Growing Together
Because the way we’re working together just simply isn’t working… How do we build organizations that get stuff done, align with our values, and serve the greater good?
Summer Cultivator stands to be the most practical one yet - whether you are starting something new, wanting to make change within an established organization, or just want to raise your organizational literacy so that you can improve whatever organization you start or join next.
Have any friends or family been venting about their disfunctional organizations lately? Please help us pass along to founders (for-profit, non-profit, profit non-conforming) across industries, chiefs of staff, ops and people and culture roles, and folks in transition!
